2009 Class all signed !

With the recent signing of Michelle McEachron to play at Christian Brothers University all of the 2009 class now knows where they will attend school next year.
Michelle who led the county with 244 K’s in only 174 innings figures to be a mainstay in the circle for the Bucs. Coach Hayden (Breaker alum) gets not only a great pitcher but a
outstanding student and better team player.

Nikki Chu and Alison King will be attending Princeton next year. Nikki will step in at shortstop and continue a tradition of great play and strong leadership at that position for
the Tigers.  Alison, one of the hardest workers to ever put a Breaker uniform on, will compete at 1B and the outfield. As a team mate she’s the best and will make Princeton a stronger team in
whatever role they ask her to play.

Brittani Bertussi has signed with University of Hawaii. After one of the best summers offensively in Breaker history (440 BA) she will join Kelly Majam (Breaker alum) in the
heart of the Wahine batting order.

Kristin Sheriff returns to pitching with strong performance.

October 20th, 2003

After a debilitating injury Kristin Sheriff returned to pitching giving two strong performances at the Lancaster Showcase. Kristin threw her first pitch to a roaring crowd that brought both joy and tears. Her teammates asked Kristin to make her familiar run to the mound while they waited for her on the field. She threw a warm-up pitch that sailed away from the catcher and although Kristin was a little worried at first her drive and determination prevailed as her first pitch was in there for a strike. She then retired the side with ease and later closed the game to a standing ovation. After the game the team signed the winning ball and presented it to Kristin so that she would always remember her miraculous comeback.

Her pitching coach Bill Corbett was on hand and was visibly moved by the unfolding events. When asked Kristin said she felt nervous at first, but after throwing a first pitch strike and hearing the support of the crowd she thought, "I can do this". Kristin also came in to relieve in the last game of the tournament and sealed the victory. Kristin did not allow any runs on both trips to the mound. We feel incredibly lucky and happy that she is back to pitching and we are sure Kristin will continue to get stronger and stronger.
