A Word from our General Manager

The ASA-USA Junior Olympic Girls Fast pitch So Cal Breakers organization consists of three teams, a Girls 18U Gold team and two Girls 16U team. The So Cal Breakers 18U Gold team was established in 2001 and has become one of the top level teams in the Country. The So Cal Breakers 16U (Eisenbraun) team was established in 2005 and has already become one of the elite teams in San Diego County. The So Cal Breakers 16U (Steele) team was established in 2007.

The So Cal Breakers organization is committed to producing the finest softball teams in the nation while increasing its players’ potential in obtaining college scholarships through local, but mostly national exposure while learning sound fundamental skills and maintaining high educational standards. So Cal Breaker players can be found on rosters on high caliber educational institutions.

The So Cal Breakers 18U Gold team under Brant Beddow is highly respected, well coached, has community support and has positive parent participation. This team is highly visible throughout Southern California, playing most weekends against the top teams and in the most competitive tournaments throughout the year. The gold team also participates in the ASA-USA Junior Olympic Gold Softball Championship.

The So Cal Breakers 16U team under Matt Eisenbraun has already established themselves in the short time they have been together. The team has already accomplished a berth to the World Series in Utah. The team also plays in the highly competitive tournaments throughout the year and participates in showcases as well as ASA-USA championship play.

The organization is well known by major colleges and plays in showcase tournaments attended by college coaches and recruiters. This year’s schedule for both the 18U Gold and 16U team includes the Louisville Slugger Independence Day Tournament in Boulder, Co, as well as attending several places such as Sacramento, Oklahoma, Lancaster, Las Vegas, etc. Our Fall schedule for both teams include the Batbuster (Tyronne) “Fall Classic”, San Diego Renegades “America’s Finest City”, Worth Tournament of Champions, Orange County Batbuster (Haning) “Oktoberfest” and “Pre-Thanksgiving” Showcases as well as participating in the Champions Cup.

The major goal for BOTH teams will be to qualify and attend the 2008 ASA-USA Jr. Olympic Girls Fast pitch National Tournaments in Oklahoma for 18U Gold and Sioux Falls, SD for the 16U team.

The teams have players from different high schools and represent a cross section of both the community and most ethnic groups. Our current players come from several different Southern California Counties. Each Player has been selected for high work ethic, team citizenship and academic achievement, as well as her ability to play various positions.

Thanks again and feel free to contact the undersigned with any questions.

Best Regards,

Brant Beddow – General Manager
